Mission Call 1.20.16

I received my mission call on January 20, 2016. After my papers had almost been submitted a month and my call had been assigned for two weeks. I first made the decision to serve a mission back in June I was already enrolled to start school at Utah Valley University in the fall. I dropped all my classes and sold my housing contract the next week. Everything fell perfectly into place and I know that was Heavenly Father telling me that I was making the right choice. I have never felt more peace in a decision that I have made in my life. I know for a fact that this is where I need to be and that the Lord is preparing those people to be taught. These past few months have really tested my patience and faith in the Lord it has been a long process and I still have a long ways to go but it makes it so worth it to be holding that call in my hand.
I have been called to serve in the Louisville Kentucky mission I report to the Provo MTC on May 25, 2016. Kentucky is perfect and I couldn't think of a place I would want to serve more. I can't wait to fall in love with the people and bring them to the happiness that is the gospel.
Bishop & Sister Colf are truly two of the most amazing people I have ever met I have grown to love them so much. Bishop put up with my daily text messages and weekly interviews for months now. Sister Colf never fails to make you feel ten million times better it's hard not to have a smile on your face when you are with her. I couldn't have asked for better examples in my life. On the night that I got my call me and a group of friends were out geocashing in Ivins Res. we got our car very stuck to say the least after trying to remove the car ourselves we thought of Bishop so at midnight he came to pull 7 of us out of the Reservoir although it's probably not what he would want to do that late on a Wednesday night he was there and ready to help. He has been so good to us and the Red Cliffs ward is going to miss him so much.

I have been so blessed with the greatest friends. They are the greatest examples to me and my biggest support system. There has been plenty of times that I have felt so discouraged and they always pick me back up and remind me why I'm doing what I'm doing. I can't comprehend the amount of text messages of support I have received over these past few weeks I think some of my friends were more persistent about waiting for my call than I was. Friends are the biggest blessing in disguise I couldn't be more grateful for them and can't wait to see what is in store for each and everyone of them.
Sharwan got her call before me and ever since has been my go to for advice on everything it's so good to have someone who is going through the same thing as you. Nauvoo is one very lucky place to be getting her for 18 months. I'm so excited to be sisters in the south together part of my mission goes into Illinois and you better bet if I'm ever there I'll be trying to sneak up to see her. She's the greatest and has helped me grow my testimony so much. I can't wait to get out there with you Sister Hall you're the best of the best.

I see Gods hand in my life everyday. I'm so grateful for him and the gospel. My testimony has already grown so much! I can't wait to serve the Lord and the people of Kentucky for 18 months. This church is true I know without a doubt. I can't wait to grow even more over these next 18 months and build my faith even more. I will post updates and weekly emails on here while I'm out serving thank you for all the support I'm so grateful for everyone in my life and the constant examples you are to me.
